Netanyahu Sets Conditions for Iran Deal on Enrichment, Hormuz Reopening
“Removal of the enriched uranium from Iran, termination of its uranium enrichment programme, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz,” he said, outlining what he described as necessary terms for any deal with Tehran in a video statement.
Netanyahu added that the United States continues to keep Israel informed about ongoing negotiations with Iran, saying that both countries share aligned goals.
“We are prepared for any scenario, including the possibility that attacks may resume," he said.
Referring to recent talks involving Lebanon, Netanyahu stated that Israel’s position centers on the disarmament of Hezbollah and achieving what he described as lasting security, without explicitly mentioning a ceasefire.
He also said Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon are continuing, particularly around the town of Bint Jbeil, which he described as a Hezbollah stronghold.
In addition, Netanyahu said Israel has decided to expand its military presence further south toward Jabal al-Sheikh, claiming the move is intended to “assist the Druze.”
